We Got Ourselves Some Snow!

Oh yea, baby! The white stuff. The powder. No two flakes alike. SNOW!!

Okay, so we only got about half an inch. I don't need to hear the laughter from my blogging friends in Colorado. For that matter, Tony in L.A. and Jill in Texas have had more snow than that. But I don't care! WE GOT SNOW!!

This is Connecticut. Where that kind of thing is supposed to happen during the winter. I mean, that little holiday song, White Christmas...you know the one? Sure ya do. Well, it comes from a movie called Holiday Inn. And the movie is set where? That's right! All together now....

Connecticut!

But this year has been odd. Warm. Dry. Nary a flake in sight. Till this morning. And even though it was a measly amount, I feel like things are the way they should be again.

Ahhhhhhhhh......

I absolutely L-O-V-E the snow! Like I said about Carmi's shots of the ocean waves, I just am awestruck by Mother Nature's grandeur. I can't make that from scratch and I don't know of anyone who can!

You know I am really trying to be excited for you - but somehow this ice here in KC is blocking it from you! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - glad you are enjoying the white worldly gift!

Oh how wonderful! Australia is not known to get snow, only in the mountains. I live in the tropics so definitely no snow around here!!

I'm glad you got you some of that pretty white stuff. I hope you get more soon. We seem to get it less and less each year here.

All I got was ice. Ice and rain.

We're collecting what little snow we have in a Ziploc in our freezer. Southern California is where we're at, freezing our weather wimpy asses off in the land of FROZEN fruits and nuts. Here's to more snow in your parts from a New Englander who remembers the insides of her nose freezing a the iced in bus stop.

Go north and then take a left turn... we have a foot or so of the pretty white fluff. Bring your mittens and your sled!

I, too, find the snow magic, especially when it seems never to stop falling from the sky.
I'm happy for you!

I'm glad you finally got your snow. I'm hoping for spring already but I have a feeling February is going to be miserable. Do you know how long it has been since I drove my convertible?

Fun to play in for a while, but then I want to go in and drink hot chocolate and cuddle up....

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog--you made my day. I know what you mean about the need for snow; I'm in northern MN and can't believe we have nussing on the ground. Cold weather - snow = suckage.

Um ... how about keeping the snow? We've got a bit on the ground and that's more than enough, thanks!

Needless to say, I'm not a snow bunny :)

Snow is way better than ice. You can play in it without hurting yourself. :)
