OUCH!

After 5 days of healing, it is starting to look pretty good. You should have seen it on the first day. Ugly and oozing. Both cuts are about four inches long. And it hurt!

I'm not bothering to say how it happened because the story is just too mundane. But I think one of these cuts may leave a bit of a scar. So I'll need a not-so-mundane story. I'm torn between wild sex and bear attack. But I'm open to other ideas.

Oh...first time I've ever shaved part of my leg. That was odd. But I do have baby-soft skin. :)

My wife suggested I just go all the way and give my self a little Brazilian styling. She is so funny sometimes.

Geez.. that looks painful.

When you're telling the not-so mundane story, just make sure you don't mistakenly combine the wild sex and bear ideas together.

Looks like a definite shark attack to me.

Uhh, she was joking right?

Hey- did she have to explain what that meant or did you possess that tidbit of knowledge already? Just curious . . . .

ROFL at wife's comment. And Darren's comment, and A's question. Yeah, it does look like it's painful. Get yourself some aloe gel to put on there (though, don't start applying it till the scabs are gone), and smooth it over the scar twice a day. Should reduce the scarring considerably. Maybe then you won't have to think up a good lie. Because goodness knows it's awfully hard to remember what that lie was, after a while. ;)

I've gone to social events and made up a different answer each time I was asked the same question. The fastest and funnest way to start rumors.

"She said it was a bear." "I heard she was helping a lady cross the street and a car hit her." "I thought it was during a bank robbery."

Definitely NOT going with the sex WITH a bear story. Far too many follow-up questions could come from that one!

Kati, thanks for the aloe tip.

A, yep, I did know without having to go to wikipedia.

me and the other me, go ahead a post. A car accident is far more serious than what I did! LOL

Wild sex with bears!?

Dude, you are getting a bit carried away with the whole camping thing...

My husband has a matching scar. He did his about a month ago--yard work. Perhaps he needs a story, too. Maybe a Brazilian wax wouldn't be bad, either. I almost said that it "wouldn't hurt". But we know that's a lie. Anyone who has seen the 40 YO Virgin knows that hair removal can be painful.

Ouch! Now I'm curious ... what really happened?

WhoooHaHaHa! Please DO NOT enter that in wikipedia. What comes up may haunt your eyes and computer until your hard drive crashes for the last time! Or, ah, so I'd imagine . . .

How about you were having wild sex and a bear came along and you had to fight it off.

LOL @ your wife's suggestion.

Definately a wild sex story. Involving a whip. Yeah, that sounds good!!

Darren warned about it, but I'm thinking how about wild sex with a bear. Your readers could certainly sink their claws into that...

Definitely wild sex with a grizzly...;o)

How about you were having wild sex when a bear attacked you?

I say go with Bear attack while having hot sex in the woods.

Sounds better

Try Mederma. If you aren't allergic to it like I was (or even if you are, I suppose since it worked for me) it makes scars invisible. I was totally allergic to it and had no idea, but used it on my neck incision and you can barely see it now. BUT scars are pretty cool anyway. I'm actually a little sad mine is so invisible.

Yikes - how can you post a photo like that and not tell the story?
